Operation Christmas Child Boxes

FCS is collecting packed boxes in 6th-12th grade homerooms for Operation Christmas Child. The goal is to collect more than 1,500 filled boxes as a school.

Collection week is November 14th – 16th. Boxes are now available free in the Main Campus Nurse’s Office and are to be brought in to homerooms for collection. Don’t forget to snap a photo and tag us @FCSPatriots #FCSPatriotsOnMission

Thanksgiving Extravaganza | November 17

The Florida Christian School Thanksgiving Extravaganza is a treasured tradition. Join us on Thursday, November 17th from 5-9PM at Florida Christian School. There is something for everyone including rides and entertainment for all ages, dinner, performances from our Fine Arts Department, and more. The purpose of the Thanksgiving Extravaganza is to unite the Florida Christian School family and friends while raising funds to continue building up well-rounded world-changers for Christ.

We're Also Participating in Give Miami Day!

On behalf of Florida Christian School, we are grateful for the trust you have placed in us to provide your child with a quality Christian education. You can support our efforts to educate world changers for Christ as we participate in this year’s Give Miami Day! 

Give Miami Day is an annual giving movement hosted by The Miami Foundation that unites nonprofits – big and small, new and established – to celebrate and increase generosity in Greater Miami through online giving. Our goal is to raise $25,000 as a school. The fundraiser spans only 24 hours, so mark your calendars for Thursday, November 17th. The 24-hour giving day begins at 12 a.m. EST and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST. The GiveMiamiDay.org portal will open for an Early Giving donation period from Monday, November 14th through Wednesday, November 16th. We are asking that you partner with us in one of two ways:  

Support Your Child’s Class/Grade  

Each grade has its own fundraising page that will help us reach our goal. When giving opens on November 17th, you can follow these three easy steps:  

1) Visit the Give Miami Day FCS Page and find your child’s class Champion page. 

2) Donate using your child’s class fundraiser.  

3) Share the link with your friends, family, and network! Attached to this email is a sample letter you can send to your connections. Please feel free to personalize it however you would like. 

Be on the lookout for communication from your child’s teacher or class sponsor with more information. 

Individual Gift 

If you or your business prefer to donate individually, early giving will begin next week. Starting Monday, November 14th, you will be able to contribute directly on our Give Miami Day homepage. Please note that the Miami Foundation requires a $25 minimum gift. All donations are tax deductible and nonrefundable. You can check out Give Miami Day’s website for more donor information.

Turkey Bowl | November 18

The 8th Grade Football Players will be playing in the Turkey Bowl on Friday, November 18th from 1:40-2:40pm.

The players participating must pay $5. Middle School students are invited to watch in the stands as spectators for a $5 fee.

Online ticket purchases can be made through Thursday, November 17th.

Student-Faculty Volleyball Game | November 18

Calling all high school students!

Join us for a Faculty – Student Volleyball Game on Friday, November 18th from 1:40-2:40pm.

Online ticket can be purchased through Thursday, November 17th for $5.

Lil' Shoppers Christmas Market

Elementary students will be able to purchase Christmas gifts for family and friends throughout the week during the Lil’ Shoppers Christmas Market event.

Volunteers are needed. Contact Glaysis Lugo if you are interested in serving at g.lugo@floridachristian.org.

FCS Christmas Market

Middle and high school students will be able to purchase Christmas gifts for family and friends during the FCS Christmas Market. Principal’s will schedule for all classes to come.

Event is on Monday, December 12th in Alumni Gym from 8am – 1pm.
