Yearbook
The yearbook staff chronicles the events of the school in the PATRIOT. Staff members plan themes, select the cover, sell ads, plan and arrange pages and sections, take pictures, write copy, and meet deadlines. They work to create a book that will be treasured by students and parents for many years.
FCS Announces a Winning Yearbook
FCS's 2008 Yearbook "Breaking the Rules" received an All American Award with 5 Marks of Distinction (the most you can receive) from the National Scholastic Press Association. Also, they were awarded a "Gold Medalist" (one the top honors) from the Columbia Scholastic Association. Both NSPA and CSPA are nationally recognized for promoting excellence in journalism education.
Patty Posey and Vicky Aguirre (area coordinators for Herff Jones Yearbooks) are proud and honored to recognize Mrs. Daisy Valdes, Mr. Juan Valdes and the 2008 Patriot yearbook staff for their achievement and awards in journalism excellence.
